Chi-Rish

Happy post-St. Patrick's Day

Tom and I spent the weekend in Chicago.  We reunited with a number of friends, and celebrated the occasion by dining at one of Chicago's hottest restaurants.  It turned out to be a wonderful weekend, although it went by too quickly.

This was Tom's first trip to Chicago.  First train ride.  (Albeit he did take light-rail in Dublin, Ireland).  It was not his first trip to a "gastropub".  However it was the first time meeting my friends, who made the trip to to Chi-town, to meet up with us.

A few of the highlights:

  • St. Patty's Day weekend - Chicago dyed the river green
  • Every bar was packed and filled with live music and Trinity Irish Dancers
  • Ate at "Untitled" a posh new restaurant in the River North district - with a "speak-easy", "burlesque" nightclub flavor (FUN!)

Tom is THRILLED to be taking his first train ride...

Group shot of my friends from St. Louis - in town for the weekend.

The line up at Untitled - Chicago.
Live Music at Untitled  - playing great music for St. Pat's Day.

Our group was impressed with the wall of Whiskey...

Melissa (R.) and I... bathed in a blanket of green LED lighting.  Waiting for our first delicious morsels.

Tom again THRILLED to be riding the train home from Chicago.  (I think I wore him out...)
