What about me?
It was another snowy weekend in Wisconsin. The locals say they haven't had snow like this in years. So to celebrate, Tom and I spent Saturday afternoon and evening on the local snowmobile trails.
In spite of temperatures reaching a high of only 7 degrees, we managed to stay warm. The trail system is maintained by volunteers made up of enthusiasts and local landowners.
They get financial support from individuals as well as local restaurant and bar owners. The businesses who support the endeavor usually get a snowmobile trail that passes by their establishment and directional signs marking which trail will lead patrons to their door. Everyone benefits from this system.
Everyone benefits, but the pet that has to stat at home rather than getting to frolic in the snow with his people. A sign that Tom and I have spent too much time out-of-pocket is visibly seen on the face of our dog. He behaves a bit anti-social and distinctive sighs can be heard coming from his general direction as a means to get our attention.
So Sunday, we spent the day indoors with Bailey - we let him run around out doors for a little while to play in the fresh snow. We also spent a lot of floor time with him, playing hide-the-ball, get-the-ball, and his favorite attack-the-dog-with-lovies.
