Three Hounds and a Flock of Sheep
Sharing a few of the latest works of art. Finally finished the painting of my hound dog. It's been sitting on my easel for years. I had it mostly finished but for the face. The face is always the hardest part. Here it is finished - along with the original. In the background, peeking out from the parson's table is our wooden dog. The wooden dog was purchased at a flea market nearly 15 years ago to serve as our "dog" when my husband and I were too busy to have a real pet. When guests would visit we'd command the wooden dog to "sit...stay... good dog!" I guess we knew back then what breed we'd fall in love with. LOL.
While the photo doesn't do these pieces justice - these are the latest metal sculptures. Inspired mostly from our trip to Ireland. We wanted a flock of sheep in the front yard and a hedge. Well, now I've got the sheep. They were fun to make and not terribly difficult.
