Blah(g), blah(g), blah(g)...
Blog a day
Day 23: Why do you blog? We all blog for different reasons and would love to know why you blog
Initially I began blogging because I wanted to practice keeping a journal. Artists will frequently journal to identify feelings or patterns of emotion which may trigger inspiration for an artistic creation. I was seeking such inspiration.
Eventually it became a way for me to manage stress. While this is truly a public venue, it still felt like a safe place for me to express my observations about the events, places, and people I encountered throughout my daily life.
It was never my intention that anyone would read my blather. I mean, what do I have to say that's interesting? Not much.
Little did I know I would discover a subterranean culture of people just-like-me, living all over the world, who are witty, talented and inspirational. The blog link-ups and blog projects have become some of my most-looked-forward-to entertainment. I love reading and viewing what others have to say much more than I enjoy creating my own post. However, blogging has now become part of my life and my personality. It has become the art form I had been initially seeking. (I'm still learning...)
