A Country in Celebration

Happy Independence Day.  We welcome your poor, your tired, your...  well, today we welcome everyone to celebrate in mass at the world's largest bar-b-cue.  My fellow Americans I give you the Fourth of July in Wisconsin.

Late afternoon BBQ before the big bang on the lake.
My husband and I didn't attend any Main Street parades, in fact we asserted our freedom and right to sleep in.  So we lazed around in the morning, did some watering in the garden and headed to a friend's house for a BBQ.  The weather held the whole day.  Sunny.  In fact it even got down-right hot.

We did enjoy all the things that symbolize Americana.  Pasta salad, hot dogs, beer and jello.   It was a lovely and colorful spread.

Our friends love to go all out.  Flag decorations were a nice touch.

Red, white and blue.

Games on the lawn.

Scooting about town.

Lots of things to do while waiting for it to get dark.

Freedom is not just for people... it is the right of every dog to beg for more snacks.

Thank you for coming, I've gathered you here today...
Patriotic to those who have the food.

Freedom's just another word for, nothin' left to lose...

What can I say... it was hilarious to see them patiently waiting for a bite.

Ah... achieving their dream!

Almost time.  Our friend who is our pyrotechnician entertained us with a pre-show.
Our pre-entertainment

Freedom to disobey community laws.

Citizens heading to find a good spot for the show.

Harbor lights.
Boom.

Ahhh
Ohhh!

Happy Birthday America.
