Tripping over Tulips

We've had a run of beautiful weather.  My tulips have gone from droopy to frisky in only one day.  You can see the progress in "Garden Grit".  

I snipped a handful of stems and brought them to work.  They sit on the corner of my desk, reminding me of a beautiful garden full of their sisters, at home. 

Playing around this evening at sunset, I tried out the different settings on my (new) camera. 

This is the poster "spot color" setting.  You aim the camera at a color, then it only releases that color through the lens.  Very cool.

Just to let you know how I started my day... look at this beautiful sunrise over the lake.  I had to stop my car, and take a photo I was so moved by it.
