Spring has Sprung

It was an amazing day.  Heck, I'll even give it an "amazing week" tag.  The rain finally stopped, the sun came out, and the temps have warmed up enough to make going outside enjoyable.

This week was my last week of welding class, and I finished up a final project.  I've posted my iron creations in my Art Page.

Bailey and I were able to go for a walk in the conservancy twice this week.  Since I get home much earlier now; and I'm stress-free... I can enjoy our walks more.  There are a lot of people out.  This is a nice time of year because you actually get to see your neighbors again.  (We tend to hole up like bears in the winter here in Wisconsin.)

Took a lot of photos of the dog enjoying his walk.  When he's happy, I'm happy.

My vegetable plants are coming along nicely.  I'm a little miffed at my herbs, they don't seem to be sprouting.  I move my contraption from the east side, to the west side windows each day, so they get plenty of sunlight.  We'll see.

I'm working on two art projects right now.  I'm completing an embroidery project as a gift for a friend.  I've started it, but can't seem to find the motivation to finish it, as I'm really squinching on a knitting project.

I was cleaning my drawers out last weekend; digging to the bottom of the drawer to toss the old clothes that clearly I don't wear.  Came across a number of t-shirts that for whatever reason don't fit, or I just don't like the shape etc.  I did however love their colors, and searched the Internet for ideas of how to upcycle them.  Came across a blog about making yarn from old t's, and knitting them into things like drawstring bags, and pillow etc.

Since I'm not a knitter, I decided to practice making cleaning rags and pot holders.  Now I'm knitting like a fiend!  It's crazy.  I want to make more things.  I like the drawstring bag idea.  May be a knitted bag in someone's future.  (But first I have to finish the embroidery.)

Well that's all the musings from this week.  Have a wonderful spring everyone!
