Soggy Sunday (repeated)

My favorite day of the month!  Does this sound familiar?  If so, it's a repeat of February, weather and all.  It rained all day, but that's good for a Sunday.  Also, since it was daylight savings time, it made for a low key day.  I got an early birthday gift... a new camera to replace the one I'd lost in January.  [Insert smiley face here.]

9:00 a.m. (Daylight Savings).
Good morning!  It's a lazy Sunday... the sunlight is diffused behind rain clouds. My terrarium is doing fine... the Irish moss however is not.  I water it weekly, although I know it is dead.  I guess I'm just a wishful thinker.

10:00 a.m.
My usual token photo of my dog.  He's lazing around in bed... you going to help me with laundry or what?

11:00 a.m.
Outside, the temperatures are up to 37 degrees.  Warm for this time of year.  There is still over a foot of snow on the ground, but it's raining - creating some icy puddles and flooding on the roads.  There is a misty fog about... my blue bottle tree is striking against the haze and grey of the day.

12:00 p.m.
Husband is up and working on the snowmobile in the garage.  Last night at a fund-raiser... I won "100 bottles of beer" [on the wall].  The micro-brews are stacked in the garage.  Too bad I'm a wine drinker!  Couldn't resist inserting a photo of my latest metal sculpture... flowers made from discarded stamped metal gears...

1:00 p.m.
Break from cleaning... dipped cone.  Yummy!

2:00 p.m.
Discovery!  Cleaning, discovered my two favorite cookbooks... Savoring Mexico, and Savoring the Mediterranean ...  I see a delicious dinner in my future.

4:00 p.m.
Bailey is fed, but knows something is afoot.  The look says it all... "are you taking me too?"  [No... it's Mommy and Daddy time.]

5:00 p.m.
Cleaned up... dressed... favorite tennies waiting to go by the door.  Love my Vans.

6:00 p.m.
Dinner at Emily's.  Cheers and thanks hubby.  Here's to a promising week.

Good night, and take care everyone!

  1. Your pooch is adorable. If you can teach him to do laundry...oh, how awesome would that be?
Laundry in exchange for a treat.
100 micro-brews on the wall? So great. BBQ at your house!
Cool sculpture. Looks like something that would grow in Phoenix.
