A friend turned a milestone birthday (shhh!... seventy-five)... and her "rockin' and rollin', swing-dancing buddies threw her a surprise party at The Wherehouse (yes it's spelled correctly) last week. As a forty-something myself, I was shocked to learn what a vibrant night-life was going on with these boomers! Her daughter and the rest of us (who had to be at work the next day) were the ones really surprised; and with the party only just beginning at 9pm... we were the fogees, sitting wearily in the corner. These eh-hem...folks were out there on the floor - boppin' and a weavin' like nobody's business. I think my power walks in the morning keep me in shape - ha, laugh's on me. This was a most fabulous milestone to celebrate with a most fabulous group of people. Rock on my elders... rock on!
