Saturday's Sunburn Schedule
Saturday had a long list of chores; work (for work), laundry, cleaning. I was glad to get outside to enjoy nice 80 degree temps to do some gardening (and by this I mean picking weeds.) My afternoon plans were gleefully interrupted by a call from my neighbor. She invited me join her for lunch on the veranda of the Country Club; after which we elected to have our "dessert" (a cold bottle of Riesling) on her back deck. It was hot - so we spritzed ourselves with water, and to cool off we whizzed around the yard in her family's golf-cart. In the back was a portable stereo and her daughter who came up with the idea to make lemonade for the boys (husbands). So off we carted - delivering cold glasses of lemonade to the garages where they were working over some auto or recreational vehicle. Today I'm sunburned, sore, but happy that I broke-away from my "work-work-work" routine. A little sun, fun and a ride in a golf-cart can go a long way to lift your spirits!
