Memories... Memorial

Memorial Day Weekend.  How many has it been now?  Counting the ones when I spent long hours in the sun, floating around on the water, getting the summer's first sunburn.  Moments, creating memories... dredging up anxiety.  Why?  Because each year there is a subtle shift.  Many faces are the same, some are gone, some remain showing signs of wear and tear.  We go through the practice again and again of gathering together to enjoy the company of one another, but ever so slightly dynamics change.  You feel as if you're in a surrounding that's familiar, but look down to notice you're not standing in the same spot.  My head is a whirl... "...I have seen some changes... I am bolder, children get older, and I'm getting older too..."
