The wave carries opportunity to shore
It's happening again. The company employing my husband is making sweeping changes. He's watching co-workers being walked out the door. This evening he spilled out his thoughts - feeling a combination of guilt because he wasn't on the chopping block; panic, because he could always be next; and confusion because he doesn't know where the company is going or what he'll be doing there. A wave breaks upon the shore and when the water washes back debris from the wake is left. If you walk the shoreline you never know what you'll find. "Opportunity" is what my husband is saying this is. Something we've learned with age. We're not scared but will be taking a closer look at what fortune this year's wave will bring us.
