Aurora of wonderland

Winter storm warnings were rarely brought out this winter, but I'd forgotten what beauty snow has on the landscape.  Friday evening's storm was timed perfectly and I'd arrived home to a 4" layer on the ground and trees.  The holiday lights in the bushes went on at dusk… (Yes, we like to extend the sparkle of the season well past December)... and the glow created from the layers of snow was magical and breathtaking.  I stepped out to get a few shots of the aurora in our shrubbery.  The blue glow was as soothing as the dampening quiet the snow had created on the evening.  Peace.
