Precious things found while dancing around

Spent the evening with a long-time friend; a luxury considering life had placed us on two different paths a few years ago.  It’s like when you think you’ve lost a favorite pair of earrings, and find them by accident when cleaning out a purse.  So too this friend and my spirits were returned to me.  Earlier that day I feared I’d changed - and may be unrecognizable from the younger, less cynical woman I once was.  Old friends reunite you with your precious memories of laughter and fun.  As we danced with her young daughter to our favorite tunes, I found the spirit I thought I'd lost; accidentally discovered with my fellow "dancing queens".
